FOSTER HOMES Neede the Cat needs a home

The Cat Shack, Inc. is in dire need of foster homes. We are currently overcapacity and need more foster homes.

What is involved with fostering?


We provide any veterinary expenses that may occur, Science Diet Dry Cat food for the cat or kitten and you provide lots of love and attention.


Each day so many cats and kittens are euthanized or left to fend for themselves outside. We get dozens of calls each week asking if we can help with stray cats and kittens so there are many more out there that need to be saved. We would like to help more of these poor kitties out there but need your help.


How do our cats get adopted?


We have adoption days at the local PetSmart in Whitehall on various Saturdays throughout the month. We also have our adoption center at this PetSmart which houses anywhere from 4- 9 cats at a time. Foster homes are required to bring the cats or kittens to adoption days if their schedule permits. We also have other special events to promote adoptions.


If you want to foster a specific cat or kitten or if you have a preference as to what you'd like to foster, we can help you find the right foster kitty. Without your help, we won't be able to help the many kitties out there that need our help!

We do screen our adopters and do a home visit to make sure our cats and kittens are getting the very best home they deserve. So you have peace of mind knowing they will be going to a great home!


There is nothing more rewarding then seeing your foster cat or kitten get adopted!


Adopting from The Cat Shack



The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
